Not every journey made it to the blog in real time, but the stories stuck with us.
From time to time, we’ll be opening up our archives and sharing moments from our Before the Blog days.

Mull & Iona
In the summer of 2018, we set off to explore the windswept beauty of Scotland’s west coast and found ourselves enchanted by the Isles of Mull and Iona. From dramatic coastal cliffs to tiny villages tucked between rolling hills, this corner of the Inner Hebrides gave us some unforgettable travel moments.
On Mull, we discovered quiet lochs, colourful harbour towns like Tobermory, and the kind of landscapes that seem pulled straight from a postcard. Then we hopped a small ferry to the Isle of Iona, a tiny island rich with history and spiritual significance. Known as the birthplace of Christianity in Scotland, Iona is home to an ancient abbey, white sand beaches, and a peaceful atmosphere that’s hard to describe but impossible to forget.
If you’re dreaming of rugged coastlines, storybook scenery, and a slower pace of travel, this one’s for you.
