About

I’m Shannon—map enthusiast, photographer, and GIS specialist. I’ve been fascinated by maps since I was a kid, flipping through atlases and dreaming of faraway places. That passion led me to a career in cartography, where I spent years making the very maps that once filled my imagination.

Keith is my partner in life and travel. He shares my love of road trips, photography, exploring, and discovering hidden gems, although he’s a bit more adventurous when hiking!

This blog is where we tell our stories—through photos, reflections, and the occasional wrong turn. You’ll hear from both of us as we explore peaceful places, scenic routes, and everything in between, whether it’s a quiet trail, a quirky roadside stop, or a perfect location to view a sunset we hadn’t planned on.

Just a heads-up: I’m dyslexic, so my writing might not always be perfect. I use AI to help with grammar and spelling, but every idea and story is straight from the heart.

Thanks for joining us. We’re glad you’re here—let’s see where the road takes us next.

Let’s connect

From Maps to Moments

Adventures recorded, memories mapped.

This is our digital logbook—where trails, towns, and turnarounds become stories. From cartography to campgrounds, we’re tracing the journey one photo and one post at a time.

Whether it’s meandering along a backroad in Saskatchewan or walking a trail through the the Scottish Highlands, every stop tells a story. Thanks for being here while we write them.
